Opened in 1974 by Luigi and Pinella, Da Luigi – Tuscan Trattoria is located in Lavacchio, above Marciana, nestled in the untouched nature of the Monte Capanne hills. Surrounded by fruit trees and maritime pines, the restaurant offers a unique panoramic view of the valley, making every lunch or dinner a truly relaxing experience.

A story of family and tradition

Da Luigi was born from Luigi and Pinella’s passion for authentic Tuscan cuisine. The indoor dining room features wooden beams, exposed brick, and terracotta floors, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. In the warmer months, guests can dine on the terrace surrounded by greenery with views of Monte Capanne.

Pinella’s kitchen: tradition and care

Pinella is the restaurant’s sole chef. Her experience and dedication ensure a homemade Tuscan menu rich in variety. Enjoy delicious appetizers, homemade pasta and gnocchi, and traditional sauces served with tagliatelle and pappardelle rolled by hand.

Seasonal menu and zero-kilometer ingredients

The menu changes with the seasons and is prepared using only fresh, local ingredients. Vegetables come from the family’s own garden, and fruits are used to make house-made jams for desserts. The extra virgin olive oil comes from Il Lentisco farm in Porto Azzurro, a superior product obtained by mechanical means from local olives.

Italian meat and wood-fired grills

The restaurant uses only Italian meats, such as certified Chianina and Tuscan-Emilian beef. Mixed grills are cooked over a wood fire. Try the kid goat, local rooster, lamb chops, and pan-fried sweetbreads, as well as the flavorful wild boar stew with herbs, olives, and porcini mushrooms.
