Great success for the OPEN DAY of the Manuela Style Fashion School

Yesterday in Portoferraio the OPEN DAY of the ManuelaStile Fashion School took place, and it was a great success. Throughout the afternoon, women and girls of all ages came to the renovated workshop in Via Guerrazzi to get to know the school better and find out about the next courses starting soon.

For the occasion, the school's rooms were decorated with some of the work made by participants in previous courses, showing a very wide range of styles and skills: from dressmaking to creative sewing, from project work to shabby-chic home décor.

In fact, many courses will start between October and November, for everyone who loves sewing.

"This is the first OPEN DAY held at our own premises and it went very well," says owner and teacher Manuela Tamagni. "Every year we have more and more students across the different course types, from hobby to professional, and I can't wait to start this new year with my loyal students as well as many new ones."

Her words reveal her passion for teaching and her enthusiasm for this work. "Every course leads you to make, on your own, objects or pieces you can be proud of, but the greatest satisfaction is when, after a basic or hobby course, someone decides to turn sewing into a real profession." With the Fashion Illustrator/Designer and Pattern Maker courses, based on the renowned SITAM method, students in fact acquire the professional skills needed to work in the sector.

"In the Piombino-Elba area this school is one of a kind," Manuela explains, "both for the seriousness of the training and for the atmosphere: lesson times are agreed according to everyone's availability, and getting together becomes an enjoyable, creative 'work' appointment."

To bring more and more people into this world of fabrics, colours and imagination, Manuelastile will also run special project workshops, including some for children and teenagers.
