VIPs such as Tania Cagnotto, foreign guests but also young Italians who love unforgettable settings… more and more couples are choosing the Island of Elba to get married.
Getting married by the sea, perhaps on the beach, facing a wonderful sunset in the light of a thousand romantic candles… Who has never dreamed of it?
A few weeks ago the Island of Elba was the wonderful setting for the most celebrated wedding of this late summer, between the gentle and much-loved Tania Cagnotto, multiple Olympic medallist, and Stefano Parolin. The images of their moments of happiness with friends and relatives on the beautiful beach of Biodola, at the Hotel Hermitage, were published by many magazines and bounced around countless social networks.
This VIP event in fact confirms a strongly growing trend, among Italians and foreigners alike: there really are a great many guests holidaying on Elba who, with pride and great emotion, in 2016 had children, friends and relatives marry on this beautiful island. Every ceremony is different in setting, running order and atmosphere… but all of them share the wonderful magic of the Island of Elba.
Given the importance of the subject, we asked Rossella Celebrini of Wedding In Elba, a wedding planner on the Island of Elba also known to the national press for having organised the recent wedding of Tania and Stefano, to explain this phenomenon to us:

The favourite months are in fact May-June and September-October, which lend themselves perfectly both to the enchantment of the colours of the sea and of nature and to the availability of venues and services.
