The largest of the three Medici fortresses, at 79 metres above sea level. Since 2013 it hosts the permanent exhibition "Cosmopolis - Portoferraio in the Medici era", distributed across five rooms, telling the history of the fortified city from its 1548 foundation to the early 18th century. Breathtaking view over the port and entire gulf.
