The Rallye Elba enters the Italian Rally Championship 2018
One of the most loved and appreciated rally races in the world returns to the highest position of national validity, for years awaited by the entire road racing sector.
It will take place on 25 and 26 May 2018 and will be the fourth round of the eight scheduled.
Livorno, 07 November 2017 - Satisfaction, joy, pride. At the Livorno Automobile Club, the atmosphere these days is really a big party. The Sports Club of the Automobile Club of Italy, in its meeting on 2 November, deciding on the 2018 titles for the various national sports motoring series, has decreed that the Rallye Elba 2018 - scheduled for 25-26 May, has been promoted among the eight races valid for the Italian Rally Championship.
It was an absence, that of the Rallye Elba from the Italian Rally Championship, which lasted from 1993 and after the rebirth as a simple round in 2007 thanks to the commitment of ACI Livorno Sport - which has the mandate from ACI Livorno to manage the sport in terra labronica - and thanks also to the entire community of Elba, in a few years has been able to climb the summit to small and significant steps. In the two years before the race has been awarded the tricolor WRC title, before it was part of the IRCup series, certainly important factories to oil all the human, economic and territorial mechanisms and prepare the event for the great return in the highest Italian series.
The Rallye Elba represents a historical-sporting heritage that is not just of Italy, but also of an international nature. In fact, there are few Italian competitions that are known abroad as a must, as an unmissable event both for those who run as well as for the insiders and especially for the rally enthusiasts. One of these is the Isola d'Elba Rally.
