On Via Aldo Moro in Marciana Marina is the heart of Acqua dell'Elba: the workshop where the fragrances are developed and made and, in the same building, the brand's first shop. Research, production and sales all happen here.

The story of the brand

Acqua dell'Elba is a family business founded by Fabio, Marco and Chiara, who at the end of 2000 opened a small workshop with a perfume shop right here, a stone's throw from the sea. The company has stayed on Elba and now has single-brand shops all over the island.

The inspiration comes from the sea. In 1967 a storm in the Gulf of Procchio uncovered the remains of a small Roman ship with a square sail and, among the finds, the precious stopper of a perfume bottle. That ship gave the brand its emblem and label; its green recalls the sea, the Mediterranean scrub and the island's broom.

The products are made and checked by hand by the company's artisans, in limited quantities. Acqua dell'Elba is a Società Benefit (benefit corporation) with sustainability programmes for the company and for the island.
