Just ended the season 2016, the Hotel Association of Elba Island Starts again and with great commitment, the promotion of the island of Elba in 2017.

One of the main issues, which are already obtaining positive results in recent seasons, will be sports and outdoor activities that aim to diversify those arriving on the island, attracted more by nature trails and sporting events, than only the "traditional" sea.

Just this week the Association was present at the Fair "The Lugano Travellers", after the presence at the 53rd edition of TTG Rimini (13 to 15 October), B2B International Fair on Tourism that saw over 63,000 trade visitors and 1000 buyers from 85 countries. Other exhibitions were St. Gallen and Zurich, on the occasion of which the Hotel Association also promoted the air links between Switzerland and the Island of Elba by Silver Air (Lugano) and SkyWork Airlines (Berne and Zurich) special flight + hotel packages.

The participation to these and other events in Swiss is really important, beacouse of the growth in attendance of Swiss guests on Elba, which this year exceeded those of tourists from other countries, including Germany. Although other markets deserve attention, there is no doubt that Switzerland should continue to be at the center of important and effective promotion policies to ensure the continuation of this positive trend.
