"MEDITERRANEA" ... the photographic exhibition of Adriano Bacchella

To inaugurate the new exhibition space of the Tenuta delle Ripalte, on July 6 from 7.30 pm the temporary MEDITERRANEA exhibition opens with the artistic black and white images of Adriano Bacchella, curated by the Turin-based Tiziana Bonomo of ArtPhotò.
And it is she who writes: “Mediterranean derives from the Latin word Mediterraneus, which means in the midst of lands. Lands dripping with history, culture and traditions. Lands full of strong contrasts, of lights and shadows. Sensual lands steeped in passions, odes and loves. How did Adriano Bacchella get to the heart of the Mediterranean, he from the north, without roots in this warm barbed heart? The light, the light enchanted and seduced him to the point of making him experience more and more engaging. The sea was the first element to immobilize it in front of the infinite horizon of the Mediterranean. The sea of the ancient Romans became Adriano Bacchella's sea of wonder, of the enchantment of time held back by the light of dawn and sunset. Adriano went like this, moving away from the sea, getting closer to people, places, landscapes that have history and beauty in common. The shadow of a palm tree, the table laden with lights at night, the white tower of a masseria, the tables of the trabucchi are all images that belong to us, distant and close memories that we would like to find, recover to feel that they belong to a people ancient, to our ancestors who are lost in the mists of time. "
We are waiting for you! The exhibition will remain until September 30, 2019
