4 months after the opening of the portal, the results of # myelbatour15 Social Media Tour.
Elbamylove.com, the innovative portal for the promotion of activities of the Island of Elba, was born last May and, in addition to continuing to grow in terms of technology and services, has made a number of interesting activities to promote our island on Internet.
Among these, the first, made from 21st to 24th May, was # myelbatour15 Social Media Tour in collaboration with Acqua dell'Elba, Baia Bianca Suite and Blu Navy. Media partners of the tour was Tuscanybuzz.com: the brilliant team of Florence composed of two expert in social media communication, already active in previous communications operations web Marina-di-Campo.it
Elbamylove.com launched this project on social communication in early summer 2015 with the objective of letting Elba be known by tourists - mainly foreign - that reach Florence and Pisa all year, creating a sort of "virtual bridge" between Tuscany and our island. The main idea was to discover its excellence, for the summer months, but also to open new markets and target not only interested in the bathing season.
Tuscanybuzz identified a team of six bloggers and social media specialists carefully selected expert narrators of travels in Italy (with a target of foreign users). So arrived on the island, Georgette Jupe of www.girlinflorence.com and Lourdes Flores of www.discovertuscany.com (both US), Sophie Kruijsdijk (Dutch) of www.ciaotutti.nl, Valentina Dainelli of www.toomuchtuscany.com, Alessandro Marazia of www.blog.100days.it and Ilaria Vangi specially sent by www.travelfanpage.it
This small but influential group of international bloggers lived and later told a part of our beautiful island, thanks to a program dedicated to the discovery of nature and villages, our ancient traditions and flavors of the local cuisine.

Blu Navy hosted them as VIP on the bridge and greeted them warmly at the time of their departure. Acqua dell'Elba showed them a new face of live Elba, leading them into the fragrant world of the Path of Rosmarini and talking to them about the Way of the Essences. Baia Bianca Suites made them dream with a sophisticated five-star welcome and a breathtaking sunset.
Besides the sponsors, we must also thank all the other operators who have offered their support. These include the Hotel Barcarola 2, Hotel Dei Coralli, Hotel Lilly, Hotel Villa Etrusca, Residence Hotel Villa Nettuno and Iselba that hosted the bloggers in Marina di Campo with warmth and professionalism. A special thanks goes to the Hotel Montecristo and its director who with his team has given us an exceptional welcome. Really valuable were then the chef at Osteria Al Moro, Ristorante La Fonte, Ristorante Da Paolo and Paglicce Beach Restaurant for the delicious menu and fabulous dishes prepared for the occasion. Finally, Granito dell' Elba Beneforti entertained them by showing how to extract the stone work and most famous of the island; Elba4Fun made them ride on the newest and-bike trails along the coast; Terre del Granito welcomed them with its excellent wine to celebrate their arrival and Pasticceria Lambardi greeted them with "Sospiri di Napoleon" at their departure.
A big thank you also to the Administration of the City and the Mayor of Marina di Campo Lambardi which have given an official welcome on the island to our bloggers. "
This incredible work of many individuals and operators, before during and after the event has been very successful in terms of communication, so that in a few days the volume of images, comments and shares it was really impressive.
Here are some numbers about the company:
- On Twitter in just 9 days, the bloggers made 1,140 tweets with a reach of 238,000 (the number of individuals or accounts only achieved) and over 2,312,000 impressions (the number of times that the messages can be seen)
- On Instagram the bloggers posted 292 photos with over 1,760,000 impressions, reach nearly 80,000, 67,000 likes and 2,000 comments
- On Facebook, where the data analyzed are limited to only two major players (and Elbamylove.com Tuscanybuzz) you have 199 posts with 5,254 reach, more than 105,000 impressions and 300 shares
These numbers add up and then also really excellent results obtained by the articles of the bloggers on their blogs. Travel Fan Page (TRAVEL section of the famous online journal that only on Facebook has more than 4.5 million followers), first of all, with four items received more than 4,400 shares ... with impressive numbers, since one share means that the 'article was read by a user and that he liked so much to "share" with all his followers / friends, so that they read it and will in turn share it with others with domino effect.
